San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival

January 13th, 2009 by Myshowpro

Well, this past weekend (January 8-10) was the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. Our film was one out of eight feature film finalist, going against “Fireproof” and “Expelled.” It was an honor to be in the running with such great films, and the film festival was a great opportunity to met and network with various Christian filmmakers and aspiring Christian filmmakers. The Best of Festival $101,000 grand prize went to “The Widow’s Might,” and “Fireproof” took home the Best Feature Film Award.

Stephen Kendrick, producer of “Fireproof,” was amazed by our resourcefulness in that we made “The Sound of a Dirt Road” for only $900. Doug Phillips, founder of Vision Forum Inc. and the SAICFF, said that our film was a glass of water. Here are a few pictures of the festival. Thanks again to everyone who has supported and continues to support our film.
